Crown Worldwide Group has inaugurated its third owned facility in India, a 76,000 sq. ft. centre in Ramasandra, Bengaluru. The facility, built with green-certified design, smart systems, and scalable infrastructure, highlights India’s importance in the company’s global growth. The country contributes 10% of Crown’s worldwide revenue and ranks among its top five markets.

The inauguration on 25 September 2025 was led by Crown’s global leadership, including Jim Thompson, Founder and Chairman; Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO; Tze Shen Kong, CEO Asia; and Srinivas Krishnan, Managing Director - South Asia. Jim Thompson said the opening was even more special as it came during the Group’s 60th anniversary year, reflecting both its history and confidence in the future.

Spread across seven acres, the site balances modern architecture with environmental responsibility. Certified under the EDGE Green Building programme, it features natural daylight design, certified green materials, and landscaped spaces. The facility covers only 25% of the land, leaving ample scope for circulation and future expansion.

Jennifer Harvey said the new facility would support next-generation storage and digital information management solutions for clients in India’s fast-growing market. The building dedicates over 57,000 sq. ft. to information management, with racks capable of storing more than 900,000 cartons. Secure destruction zones, evacuation-ready layouts, and barcode traceability ensure safety and efficiency. Dedicated zones are also set aside for Crown Workspace and Crown Relocations, handling furniture, personal effects, and specialised equipment.

Equipped with advanced digital infrastructure, the facility offers real-time monitoring, strong connectivity, and smart systems for energy and water use. It also prepares for future-ready services, including bonded warehousing, cold storage for healthcare products, climate-controlled storage for fine art, and wine and spirit storage.

Safety systems include a fully automated Building Management System that integrates fire, flood, and security monitoring. With 43% of the site covered in greenery, the development reflects Crown’s long-term focus on sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

“Bengaluru strengthens our regional footprint, allowing us to serve South Asia with greater scale and efficiency,” said Tze Shen Kong. Srinivas Krishnan added that the facility marks a strategic step in Crown’s India network, laying a strong foundation for future growth.
