ColdStar Logistics has reported that milk, chocolates, ready-to-eat batters, chutneys and ice cubes were among the most demanded products during this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. Over six days of the festival, the company’s cold chain solutions delivered around 2,359 tonnes of milk, 404 tonnes of chocolates, 143 tonnes of batters and chutneys including millet, ragi and chilla batter, along with 46 tonnes of ice.

According to ColdStar’s data, milk accounted for nearly 70% of the total volumes moved during the period. Chocolates, with a 3:1 milk-to-dark ratio, were the second most popular category, followed by curd and paneer. Ready-to-eat batters and chutneys emerged as the fastest growing segment, reflecting the preference of working professionals who opt for convenience while still enjoying traditional festive foods.

“Festivities are a time of excesses and rightly so! This is when cold chain logistic companies like ours step in to prep our world-class, temperature-controlled facilities and transport well in time to meet the surge in demand and ensure that our clients deliver everything fresh to the consumer on time,” said Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics.

To serve the surge in demand during Ganeshotsav, ColdStar relied on AI-driven planning, temperature-controlled infrastructure and its zero stock-out promise. The company scaled up staff and vehicle capacity, redesigned processes to handle up to three times the usual demand and used real-time tracking to maintain freshness and avoid delays.

“One of the most crucial elements during Ganesh Chaturthi is our Zero Stock-Out Promise. We ensure that shelves stay full when demand peaks, so celebrations never pause. Our goal is to keep every festive order moving safely and on time, ensuring the spirit of Ganeshotsav stays joyous and hassle-free,” Varma added.

ColdStar Logistics, founded in 2011 by Tuscan Ventures, is India’s leading temperature-controlled supply chain solutions provider. The company operates 23 distribution centres, serving over 7,000 pin codes in 200 cities across India. With AI- and ML-powered systems, it delivers more than 1.2 million units a month with a 99.9% fill rate, supporting quick service restaurants, retail and healthcare sectors.
