ColdStar Logistics, one of India’s fastest-growing temperature-controlled supply chain companies, has announced a major network expansion with the opening of three new facilities – two in Mumbai and one in Sonipat. The move strengthens the company’s product offering and distribution network in two of the country’s largest consumption hubs, Delhi NCR and Mumbai.

The new hubs have been designed to handle, process, and distribute Fruits and Vegetables (F&V) along with other perishable products for leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. Collectively, the facilities bring a significant boost to ColdStar’s handling and processing capacity, underlining the company’s ambition to set new benchmarks in India’s cold chain sector.

The Sonipat F&V unit, spread across 80,000 sq. ft., comes with a capacity to process 1,70,000 units per day, equivalent to 65 tonnes. In Mumbai, the expansion includes an F&V unit capable of handling 1,40,000 units daily, and a separate cold storage distribution hub with 80,000 units of daily capacity. Together, the three hubs add a combined processing and handling capability of over 3,200 tonnes daily, supported by a workforce of more than 1,100 people.

“Sonipat is a natural choice with its proximity to the New Delhi NCR area, while Mumbai remains one of the country’s biggest consumption hubs,” said Sameer Varma, Executive Director, ColdStar Logistics. “Our facilities are built to support the scale and speed modern e-commerce and quick-commerce companies need. We’re proud to partner with one of India’s largest platforms and are already looking at new opportunities in East and Deccan India.”

The new facilities are equipped with technology-driven solutions aimed at ensuring faster, fresher, and more reliable product movement. With demand for fresh produce and perishable products rising sharply across India, especially through online retail and quick-commerce platforms, ColdStar’s expansion reflects the company’s focus on addressing scale, speed, and sustainability in cold chain logistics.

As one of the only independent and self-funded national cold chain players in India, ColdStar Logistics continues to chart its growth trajectory by strategically placing assets in key markets, with further expansion already under consideration.
