Allcargo Supply Chain, part of Allcargo Logistics, has expanded its southern presence with the launch of a modern, tech-enabled Logistics Park in Panapakkam, near Chennai. Spread across 2.75 lakh sq. ft. of Grade-A warehousing space, the facility is designed to handle large-scale cargo efficiently and marks a key step in strengthening the company’s infrastructure-led growth strategy in India.

Located at the intersection of NH 76 and SH 50, the park provides smooth access to Red Hills, Chennai Port, Sri City, Sriperumbudur, and Oragadam, making it a vital hub for pan-India distribution. The southern diversification strategy is anchored by a strong focus on automobiles, which account for around half of the business, supported by e-commerce and consumer durables.

The facility is equipped with 30 truck bays that can handle more than 300 vehicles per day and has a monthly throughput capacity of nearly 60,000 tonnes. It also features 32 docks with 16 dock levellers, G+8 racking for higher storage, and a mezzanine floor of 5,000 sq. ft. with dedicated client office space. Around 400 contractual workers, nearly 95% of them from the region, are expected to be engaged monthly.

Speaking on the launch, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director, Allcargo Supply Chain Private Limited, said the Panapakkam park is built to global standards and combines world-class infrastructure with sustainable practices. He added that the facility is aimed at driving value for businesses and contributing to India’s growing supply chain ecosystem.

Sustainability and safety form a core part of the design, with solar-ready rooftops, LED lighting, solar-powered streetlights, rainwater harvesting, and water recycling systems. Operational safety is enhanced through secure perimeter walls, fire hydrants, sprinklers, and dock levellers.

With this launch, Allcargo Supply Chain expands its network in the south, adding to its facility in Bengaluru and an upcoming park in Hyderabad. The Panapakkam hub also complements its pan-India network, which includes modern logistics parks in Farukhnagar (Gurugram), Nagpur, Guwahati, Bhiwandi (Mumbai), Indore, and Vijayawada.
