KICT handles its 300th vessel

December 13, 2018: The Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT), which started its commercial operations in January 2017, has reported that ithas marked a milestone by berthing its 300th Vessel at KICT in November this year.

December 13, 2018: The Kandla International Container Terminal (KICT), which started its commercial operations in January 2017, has reported that it has marked a milestone by berthing its 300th Vessel at KICT in November this year.

“MV TSS Neptune berthed at 1525 hours from M/s. Tehama Shipping Services Co. with its operations commencing at 1535 hours. A cargo of 795 TEUs of containers was discharged from the vessel with the help of Rail Mounted Quay Crane, Rubber Tyre Gantry Crane, Reach Stackers and Forklifts. With 827 moves handled within 12 hours of time, MV TSS Neptune sailed away on 27th November 2018,” KICT informed in a press release.

The Kandla International Container Terminal along with its 300 vessels has handled a total throughput of 260,034 TEUs till date.
