May 13, 2020: Kale Logistics Solutions (Kale) introduced a new electronic-delivery order (e-DO) solution for shipping lines and freight forwarders to help them in processing and documentation of cargo. This aims to remove the burden of administrative tasks and facilitate the creation and filing of DOs in maritime trade that is traditionally burdened with a lot of paperwork and manual interventions.

“Shipping Lines and Forwarders are burdened with staff shortage leading to less no of DO related counters. Kale’s e-DO platform has the capability to issue Master and House Delivery Order for multiple shipping lines. Also, it can facilitate re-validation of soon to expire Delivery Order by auto-calculating the charges to be paid,” says the release.

Kale is offering a free trial of e-DO service in order to support shipping lines and forwarders to continue with their business operations during these trying times. Also, no upfront investment is required to begin using this service. Right from enabling remote working to automated handling and ensuring data accuracy e-DO offers robust solutions for business continuity despite the ongoing crisis. Most notably, e-DO services are specifically built to ensure digital security compliance. Therefore, they are secured from phishing attacks and online payments are done through safe payment gateways.

Vineet Malhotra, director, Kale Logistics Solutions said, “We stand by the industry during these tough times and would like to offer these business continuity services to the shipping lines and freight forwarders. At times like these, there is limited cash flow in the market as well as a demand slump. Therefore, we are offering a completely cloud-hosted, outcome-based service model with zero upfront investment. These cloud-enabled services reduce the risk of Covid-19 spread with paper touchpoints. We are experiencing a tremendous demand for e-DO services which are so pertinent in these pandemic times.”
