Snowman Logistics posts 22.8% EBITDA growth on cold chain surge
Snowman Logistics reports a 22.8% YoY EBITDA surge in Q2 FY27, driven by high warehousing capacity utilization and growing demand for cold chain network.

Cold chain major Snowman Logistics Limited has delivered a robust operational and financial performance for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2 FY27), reflecting expanding margins and elevated network utilisation across India's temperature-controlled logistics sector. The pan-India cold chain operator recorded a 22.8% year-on-year surge in Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) to ₹25.25 crore, compared to ₹20.56 crore in Q2 FY26. Total revenue from operations rose 5.1% YoY to reach ₹163.56 crore against ₹155.65 crore in the prior-year period. Backed by operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management, EBITDA margins expanded significantly to 15.3%, up from 13.2% in Q2 FY26. Furthermore, Profit After Tax (PAT) returned to positive territory at ₹1.0 crore, successfully reversing a net loss of ₹2.9 crore registered in the corresponding quarter last year.
The quarterly growth trajectory was supported across Snowman's key business divisions, led by its core warehousing operations. Warehousing services recorded a 7.6% YoY growth in revenue, underpinned by sustained demand from key sectors including pharmaceuticals, quick-service restaurant (QSR) chains, seafood, ice cream, and fresh produce. The company maintained a strong average capacity utilisation rate of 85% across its cold storage infrastructure during Q2 FY27. Meanwhile, transportation services grew by 5.6% YoY, benefiting from heightened primary movement and regional distribution requirements. The trading and distribution (5PL) segment, operating under the SnowDistribute vertical, registered a 2.4% YoY uptick. As India’s pioneer in temperature-controlled 5PL solutions, Snowman extends beyond traditional 3PL services by acting as a super-stockist, managing inventory ownership, sourcing, vendor compliance, and end-to-end retail fulfilment.
Snowman Logistics currently operates a connected national footprint comprising 40 strategically positioned temperature-controlled warehouses across 21 major industrial and urban hubs. These include facilities in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Surat, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Siliguri, and Visakhapatnam, offering an aggregate pallet capacity of 1,51,618 pallets. To support door-to-door temperature integrity, the firm deploys a dedicated fleet of over 350 refrigerated vehicles capable of maintaining strict thermal parameters ranging from -25°C to +25°C.
Operational agility is underpinned by an integrated technological architecture. Snowman utilises Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP alongside dedicated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS) to drive order tracking and live vehicle visibility. A centralised 24x7 command centre leverages IoT-enabled sensors for continuous chamber temperature monitoring, automated alert escalations, and digital lock mechanisms to safeguard cargo quality and compliance.
Commenting on the market momentum, Prem Kishan Dass Gupta, Chairman of Snowman Logistics Limited, stated: “Rising food hygiene standards and greater emphasis on product quality are creating demand for reliable cold chain infrastructure across the country. We are increasing our scale to serve this demand, expanding our presence in key markets and strengthening our ability to support customers as their businesses grow. Alongside this expansion, we continue to invest in our systems and operating capabilities to maintain consistent service quality across a larger network”.

For the first half of the fiscal year (H1 FY27), Snowman reported revenue from operations of ₹341.2 crore, marking a 7.2% YoY growth compared to ₹318.3 crore in H1 FY26.
