E-commerce to move non-essentials in orange and green zones from May 4
May 3, 2020: After a series of representations to the government, e-commerce companies are now allowed to sell non-essential items in orange and greens zones across the country starting from May 4, while red zones can only have essentials items.

May 3, 2020: After a series of representations to the government, e-commerce companies are now allowed to sell non-essential items in orange and greens zones across the country starting from May 4, while red zones can only have essentials items.
The new guidelines issued by the ministry of home affairs to extend the lockdown till May 17 also include several relaxations. On April 20, the ministry had revoked its permission to operate non-essentials for e-commerce companies.
The global online marketplace, Amazon had recently reported that India experienced biggest hit in their business during Covid-19. The company also claim that e-commerce is the safest way to deliver goods even during the emergency of Covid-19.
E-commerce offers the safest way to ensure social distancing, saving lives and livelihoods.
