June 23, 2018: DAMCO, part of A.P. Moller – Maersk, and one of the world’s leading providers of supply chain management services and freight forwarding has announced the appointment of Ashutosh Dixit as CEO for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka (IBS) effective from 15th June 2018. A seasoned executive with over two decades of experience in supply chain, Ashutosh will lead the next phase of growth for Damco across IBS with a key focus on offering innovative and seamless solutions to customers shipping from and to the IBS markets.

“Damco’s story in IBS has been one of resounding success over the past couple of years, supported especially by the growing demand for India-made retail and lifestyle products across the United States, Europe and the Middle East. As quality offerings from the geography continue to boost trade from the hinterland, Damco is ready ahead of the curve to support this growth, and I believe that Ashutosh’s wealth of experience makes him the ideal fit to lead this next phase of evolution,” Klaus Rud Sejling, Damco Global CEO said.

Meanwhile, Dixit said, “I’m thrilled to be joining Maersk at a time when the company is pushing innovation at all stages of the global supply chain and I look forward to playing an instrumental part in helping customers realise their full potential and becoming more competitive and technology driven supported by Damco.”

Ashutosh comes to Damco from DHL Global Forwarding where he held different leadership positions across functions. Prior to that, he also spent close to a decade with the TATA Group in Strategic Planning team.
