Tata Boeing marks 400th Apache fuselage milestone

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited, a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited, has rolled out the 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter from its 52,000 square metre facility in Hyderabad, the companies announced on 7 September.

The fuselages are manufactured in India and integrated into final Apache aircraft supplied worldwide, including to the US Army and the six Apaches delivered to the Indian Army in 2025. The Indian Air Force currently operates a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apaches.

Established in 2016, TBAL employs more than 750 engineers and technicians who use advanced robotics, automation and aerospace manufacturing technologies to produce Apache fuselage aerostructures. The companies said the milestone reflects both the maturity of India's aerospace manufacturing ecosystem and its integration into global defence supply chains.

Roughly 1,300 Apache aircraft are currently in operation across 19 countries, with the fleet continuing to expand. Tata Boeing Aerospace said the 400th fuselage milestone underlines India's growing role in supporting one of the world's most widely used attack helicopter platforms.
