Softlink Global has outlined the next phase of automation within its Logi-Sys platform at India International Cargo & Logistics Show (IICS) 2025. They positioned the upgrades as a response to growing operational complexity in logistics.

The presentation focused on how artificial intelligence can reduce manual intervention, improve shipment visibility, and support faster decision-making across freight forwarding and supply chain operations.

The session, led by Chief Growth Officer Kunal Maheshwari, detailed how AI-powered document reading is being applied to automate job creation and purchase bookings, addressing a key bottleneck in logistics workflows. By removing dependence on manual data entry, the platform aims to shorten processing cycles and improve data accuracy across transactions.

Softlink also highlighted LogiBRAIN, its analytics layer designed to provide predictive insights and real-time visibility. The system integrates conversational analytics through BoxyAI, allowing users to query operational data and receive responses in real time. This capability is positioned as a tool for planners and operations teams seeking earlier signals on delays, capacity constraints, and performance trends.

Another focus was predictive tracking visibility, which uses data models to improve shipment arrival forecasting. According to the company, this function supports better coordination across stakeholders by reducing uncertainty around transit times and enabling proactive exception management.

The platform’s Digital Employee was presented as an always-on AI agent that executes routine business updates without manual input. The feature is intended to support round-the-clock operations by handling repetitive tasks and triggering system actions as conditions change.

Maheshwari noted, "Digital transformation in logistics is no longer about individual systems working in silos; it is about creating an intelligent, connected ecosystem. Logi-Sys brings this together through BoxyAI, helping logistics businesses gain real-time visibility, streamline operations, and make informed decisions with speed and confidence. This shift towards intelligent platforms is essential for staying competitive in today’s dynamic trade environment.”

Softlink said the latest updates reflect a broader shift in logistics technology from basic digitalisation toward intelligence-driven platforms, as freight forwarders seek systems that can interpret data, anticipate outcomes, and support faster operational responses in global trade networks.
