SpiceJet lifts 58T perishables on June 6, operates 78 flights in 2 days

June 8, 2020: The Indian carrier SpiceJet operated 78 cargo flights on June 6 & 7, 2020 while transporting 58 tonnes fruits, vegetables & fish seeds on June 6 alone.

SpiceJet has till date transported over 15,028 tons of cargo on more than 2132 flights since the nation-wide lockdown began.

June 8, 2020: The Indian carrier SpiceJet operated 78 cargo flights on June 6 & 7, 2020 while transporting 58 tonnes fruits, vegetables & fish seeds on June 6 alone.

SpiceJet carried 18 tonnes of mangoes from Bengaluru to Singapore, 8 tonnes of fish, fish seeds and cargo supplies from Chennai to Port Blair, 14 tonnes of fruits and vegetables from Tiruchirappalli to Singapore and 18 tonnes of fruits and vegetables from Trivandrum to the Maldives on June 6.

SpiceJet operated 48 cargo flights on June 6 and 30 cargo flights on June 7.

"In its continuous efforts to mitigate the shortage and supply disruption of essential supplies and medical equipment, SpiceJet has till date transported over 15,028 tons of cargo on more than 2132 flights since the nation-wide lockdown began. Of the 2132 cargo flights that SpiceJet operated, 780 were international cargo flights, " says the release.

SpiceJet has operated special cargo flights to and from Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok, Colombo, Dubai, Dhaka, Kabul, Myanmar, Sharjah, Male, Kuala Lumpur, Guangzhou, Bahrain, Cambodia, Bahrain, Baghdad, Philippines, Huangzhou, Tashkent, Khartoum, Incheon, Jakarta, Kathmandu, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt and Ukraine carrying vital supplies during the lockdown.
