CMA CGM reflags fifth vessel under Indian flag, sixth due in May ahead
Move deepens India presence and expands capacity key routes as firm plans more vessels and integrated logistics support.
French shipping group CMA CGM has reflagged its fifth vessel under the Indian flag, marking a further step in strengthening its presence in the country.
The vessel, CMA CGM VILA DO CONDE, has now been registered under the Indian flag as part of the group’s ongoing efforts to deepen its roots in one of the world’s most dynamic trade environments.
The addition of this vessel is expected to enhance the company’s ability to serve key trade routes while reinforcing its operations within India’s maritime ecosystem. CMA CGM said this move is part of a broader plan, with a sixth vessel set to follow by the end of May.
The company added that its continued investments, spanning both sea and inland logistics, are aimed at supporting India’s growing trade ambitions through reliable and efficient shipping solutions.
