Maritime Nation India 2017 initiative resonates with IMO World Maritime Day theme
May 03, 2017: The 2nd edition of Maritime Nation India (MNI) 2017, South Asia’s largest Tradeshow for the Maritime and Logistics ecosystem is set to be held at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Vashi, Navi Mumbai from 14-16 September 2017.
The theme of the tradeshow, resonates with this year’s IMO World Maritime Day (WMD) theme, ‘Connecting Ships, Ports and People” and the Maritime Nation India initiative has received compliments from the IMO.
While the maiden 2016 edition garnered participation of 2000 industry professionals and 40 exhibitors from 10 countries, the 2nd edition expects over 100 exhibitors and 5000 participants from over 20 countries.
The tradeshow would have 7 conferences on key segments of maritime ecosystem – Trade Lanes & Shipping, Maritime Infrastructure & Multi-modal Connectivity, Shipbuilding & Ship Repair, Finance & Investment, Automation & Training, Cruise & Lighthouse Tourism, which will bring together industry stakeholders - decision makers, senior government officials, and business leaders, on a single platform for exchange of ideas on the emerging maritime and logistics sector.
Maritime Nation India 2017, received a letter of endorsement from Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who expressed his confidence saying, "the event will significantly contribute in projecting the opportunities of investment and collaboration among the exporters, importers and the maritime and logistics ecosystem in India, and I wish this International Exhibition and conference all success."
The tradeshow had earlier received a letter of endorsement from Mr Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping of India and support from several industry associations.
