Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, inaugurated a new authorised BharatBenz dealership in Jammu in partnership with PPS Trucking.

The dealership, located at Kartholi Village, Birpur, on NH-44, will provide sales, service, and spare parts support to commercial vehicles operating across Jammu, Srinagar, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Himachal Pradesh.

The facility is designed to serve the needs of transporters and infrastructure projects across districts, including Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, and Kishtwar. Jammu has seen rising transport demand, driven by road development projects from agencies such as the Border Roads Organisation, as well as tourism and agri-produce logistics.

Rajiv Chaturvedi, President and Chief Business Officer, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said, “The inauguration of our new dealership in Jammu underlines BharatBenz’s commitment to expand its footprint in India’s high-growth regions. Jammu & Kashmir is strategically important, with its booming infrastructure projects, strong transport demand, and the critical role it plays for BRO fleets.”

The 22,000 sq. ft. PPS Trucking facility in Jammu houses eight service bays, with capacity to serve over 2,700 vehicles annually. It is equipped with diagnostic systems and wheel alignment machines and offers 24x7 roadside assistance with two mobile vans. Amenities also include a driver rest area, supported by a team of 35 technicians.

Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director of PPS Trucking, said, “We are delighted to further expand PPS Trucking’s footprint in Northern India with the addition of this BharatBenz 3S facility in Jammu, making it the 7th state in our BharatBenz network with 59 touchpoints across these states.”

With rising demand for refrigerated vehicles and freight transport in Jammu and Kashmir, PPS Trucking plans further expansion in the region in the coming months. The dealership will also focus on after-sales service, offering scheduled programmes, on-site repairs, express service, and a strong spare parts inventory to minimise downtime for BharatBenz trucks and buses.
