Los Angeles port handled 8% fewer containers in Oct

Seroka and U.S transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg discussed the latest developments in the supply chain including how ports will benefit from the new Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act passed recently passed by Congress and signed earlier this week by President Joe Biden.
They also discussed the $17 billion Action Plan for America’s Ports and Waterways including funds for navigation construction and port infrastructure.
An update showed LA port had 72,694 containers on terminal as on November 16 including 19,944 containers that have been sitting for 13+ days.
