KSH Distriparks and Evergreen Line have announced a partnership to improve container availability for exporters in Pune by offering 40-foot high cube containers at ICD Talegaon, effective immediately.
The initiative aims to cut the need to reposition empty containers between Nhava Sheva and Pune, providing cost and time savings. About 45 to 50 high cube containers will be available at all times with an initial monthly volume of 200 containers. An additional 40-ft and 20-ft dry containers will be introduced later.
The partnership combines KSH Distriparks’ inland logistics expertise with Evergreen Line’s global shipping network to create a single-window solution for international cargo. Exporters will be able to drop off imports and pick up exports locally at ICD Talegaon, reducing fuel use, time, costs, and carbon emissions.
KSH Distriparks CEO Malcolm Dsouza said, “Pune has emerged as a critical hub for manufacturing and exports, and efficient container logistics is essential to support the region’s growth trajectory. Our partnership with Evergreen Line is a step forward in unlocking this potential by creating a seamless logistics experience for exporters.”
Ken Chen, Junior VP of Business Development, Evergreen Line, said, “Pune and its surrounding industrial belt, including Chakan, Ranjangaon, and Talegaon, play a vital role in India’s export landscape, especially in sectors like automotive, engineering goods, and electronics. At Evergreen Line, we are committed to enhancing our inland connectivity and providing reliable equipment availability across major export hubs.”
The companies said the effort aligns with India’s PM Gati Shakti plan by decongesting ports and supporting multimodal connectivity through stronger inland container depots like Talegaon.
