FedEx named the Official Logistics Partner of the Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League presented by Qatar Airways

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx, and the world’s largest express transportation company, recently announced its association with the Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) presented by Qatar Airways as the Official Logistics Partner. The tennis league is a professional team tennis competition founded by India’s multiple grand-slam winner Mahesh Bhupathi. The event will feature the best current and past champions and they will play across four countries in Asia.

“We are delighted to participate in the newest spectacle featuring a team based professional tennis league. In the past, FedEx has successfully leveraged sports marketing to connect with customers. IPTL provides an additional platform to communicate with customers in addition to sharing the FedEx brand characteristics of speed and precision,” said Raj Subramaniam, executive vice president of Marketing and Communications at FedEx Services.

The League will be held at Manila, Singapore, New Delhi and Dubai between November 28, 2014 and December 13, 2014.

“FedEx is pleased to share the passion and excitement of the team based professional tennis league and of having the best of the best in tennis playing in front of the public in the four key cities. We share many attributes with tennis as a sport and that’s what makes this association such a great fit,” said Nathalie Amiel-Ferrault, vice president EMEA Customer Service, MEIA Marketing & Communications, FedEx Express.

FedEx has a history of tennis sponsorship and currently sponsors Roland-Garros in France and the Association of Tennis Professionals across 13 countries.
