DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freight specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, has been collecting prestigious awards instituted by various industry organizations recently. At the Frost & Sullivan’s India Logistics Voice of Customer Awards (ILVoC Awards) held in Mumbai , the company was given three awards: Best Logistics Service Provider, International Logistics in Automobile, Auto components and Engineering & Industrial Goods. “DHL has demonstrated its competence in the logistics industry by combining global presence with local knowledge, as well as its innovation, service excellence and commitment to providing customers with superior end-to-end solutions. This award has greatly encouraged us to maintain and improve the benchmark that we have set for ourselves”, said Samar Nath, Chief Executive Officer, DHL Global Forwarding. On behalf of DHL Global Forwarding, the awards were received by M M Gahuri, head of business development. The ILVoC Awards recognize the best companies providing logistics service to various industry verticals and achieving “excellence in logistics”. Logistics Awards are based on a structured research process evaluating performance of logistics service providers by logistics managers in end user companies across industry verticals. At the 8th edition of Express, Logistics & Supply Chain (ELSC) conclave held in Mumbai in September DHL was awarded the “Best Logistics Service Provider of the Year– Airfreight” for the seventh time. This award was won amidst stiff competition from leading logistics companies in India and is recognition of DHL’s seamless efforts in delivering consistent and timely services in the air freight business on an uninterrupted basis. “We are delighted to be conferred this prestigious award for the seventh time,” said Nath about winning the ELSC award. “Air freight logistics has become an important factor in supply chain management to keep pace with the changing world market. Nilanjana Chakrabarti, manager, Airfreight Commercial Centre and Surendra Singh Panwar, manager, Airfreight Capacity Management received the award.
