AAI to officially launch AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company on Oct 25

Oct 20, 2016: In view of the expansion, availability of large network and growing business demands, the Airport Authority of India (AAI)has incorporated a subsidiary company, AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company. Under the leadership of Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman, AAI, the new company was formed to spin-off the cargo operations of AAI.

AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services Company will be officially launched on October 25 in New Delhi. P Ashok Gajapati Raju Union Minister of Civil Aviation will be the Chief Guest for the event. Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha will be the Guest of Honour and Rajiv Nayan Choubey, Secretary Ministry of Civil Aviation will grace the occasion.

Air cargo is integral to the growth of the nation and AAI has been pioneering the development of international as well as domestic cargo operations in the country resulting in active cargo operations at various metro and non-metro airports as a result of which, today the civil aviation is looking forward to multiple cargo hubs in the country.

AAI manages 125 airports including 18 International Airport. After taking charge as Chairman of AAI in July this year, Mohapatra aims to raise the standard and internal efficiency so as to cut down on cost, wasteful expenditures and avoid delay.
