November 26, 2019: Allcargo Logistics today announced an agreement with ONE Line India Pvt. Ltd. to partner in transporting containers to Nepal from the ports of Kolkata in West Bengal and Vizag in Andhra Pradesh.

Allcargo Logistics recently completed the customs formalities for the maiden import shipment of 8 x 20’ containers for ICD Birgunj in Nepal which docked in Kolkata port. The shipment was handed over to the rail operator and received in Birgunj, Nepal on November 24.

“Given our global scale and repute on account of being the widest CFS-ICD operators in India, we emerged as the preferred partners for expediting customs clearance solutions and boosting ONE Line’s Exim business in Nepal. With an operational presence in Nepal as well as Kolkata, we are also strategically positioned to assist ONE Line in ensuring faster clearance of goods, ensuring speedy last-mile delivery services and gaining critical leverage and connectivity to the emerging markets and industrial hubs of Nepal,” stated Mr. Prakash Tulsiani, CEO, CFS-ICD, Allcargo Logistics.

In addition to offering services to Birgunj, Allcargo also operates two ICDs in Nepal, one in Biratnagar and other in Bhairahawa, in partnership with TransNepal Freight Services Pvt. Ltd., providing strategic cross-border connectivity with India. These facilities are key transit points on the Indo-Nepal trade route.

“These services are part of Allcargo’s plans of providing seamless and integrated end-to-end logistics to the customers,” added Tulsiani.
