AirAsia India strengthens its Mumbai operations with 10 new connections

April 16, 2019: AirAsia India, a TATA venture and India’s low-cost carrier today announced its network expansion plans by starting 10 new connections from Mumbai. AirAsia India will now connect Mumbai to Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, New Delhi and Bengaluru.

April 16, 2019: AirAsia India, a TATA venture and India’s low-cost carrier today announced its network expansion plans by starting 10 new connections from Mumbai. AirAsia India will now connect Mumbai to Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Indore, New Delhi and Bengaluru.

Flights to the new routes have commenced today. AirAsia India started its operations in Mumbai in January 2019 with its first connection to Bengaluru. All AirAsia India flights from Mumbai will operate from T2 (Terminal 2).

The inauguration ceremony at Mumbai was graced by Banmali Agrawala, Chairman, AirAsia India. A traditional lamp lighting, ribbon cutting and cake cutting ceremony was held in the presence of Agrawala, Sunil Bhaskaran, CEO & MD, AirAsia India and Sanjay Kumar, COO, AirAsia India

Speaking about the development, Sunil Bhaskaran, CEO and Managing Director, AirAsia India, said “AirAsia India recently introduced its operations in Mumbai with direct flights to Bengaluru. The introduction of 10 additional routes will further help flyers from India’s commercial capital to fly to various destinations within the country. While this move aligns with our strategy of significantly expanding our network, it will also add new flyers to our network.”
