June 7, 2019: American Airlines Cargo has started flying from Dallas/Fort Worth to Munich, Germany on a Boeing 787-800 for summer 2019.
This seasonal route gives American a second widebody flight to Munich in addition to year-round Airbus A330-200 service to Munich from Charlotte that launched in March.
It has also started another new route from Philadelphia to Berlin, Germany on the Boeing 767-300.
"I'm excited about these new opportunities," said Tim Isik, American's director, cargo sales - Europe, Middle East and Africa.
"I'm proud to say that American Airlines has the largest network in the world, but we're continuing to expand into new cities. These new routes further grow our presence in Europe and most importantly, give our customers more opportunities to connect their goods around the world," added Isik.
In addition to the new routes to Germany, the airline is introducing new service from Philadelphia to Bologna, Italy, and Miami to Cordoba, Argentina.
American offers more than 430 weekly widebody offerings to Europe and 120 weekly widebody offerings to Latin America.
