May 22, 2019: Allcargo Logistics Ltd's container freight station (CFS) at JNPT in Mumbai has retained its Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certification. The certification will be valid from May 16, 2019 to May 15, 2020. It will cover the inbound/import and outbound/export cargo handling at the CFS.

"We are extremely proud of maintaining the C-TPAT certification for our CFS at JNPT area. It underscores our commitment to our clients and partners to build a secure delivery system while complying with international security guidelines. Because of C-TPAT compliance, we will be able to continue offering our customers facilities such as quicker and protected cargo handling, reduced processing time, less cargo inspections at various check-points, etc.," said Prakash Tulsiani, ED and CEO, CFS-ICD at Allcargo Logistics Ltd.

The logistics solutions provider also claimed to have maintained its classification %u2018A' rating and improved its score.

The C-TPAT certification is supported by the department of homeland security and US Customs and Border Protection. Aiming to uphold global supply chain security and diminish border susceptibilities, the certification provided benefits like speed of freight movement, reduction in cost, shorter wait-time at the borders, etc.

Last year, Allcargo Logistics was conferred with the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) - LO Certificate (Custodian) status by the central board of indirect taxes & customs, ministry of finance, government of India.
