United Airlines launches twice-weekly cargo-only service to Mumbai
May 1, 2020: The cargo arm of the American airline United Airlines, United Cargo launched a twice-weekly cargo-only passenger flight service to Mumbai on Thursday (April 30) to help export the critical pharmaceutical exports from India.

May 1, 2020: The cargo arm of the American airline United Airlines, United Cargo launched a twice-weekly cargo-only passenger flight service to Mumbai on Thursday (April 30) to help export the critical pharmaceutical exports from India.
This is the first cargo-only non-stop direct flight connecting India and the US. Group Concorde is the general sales agent for United Airlines in Mumbai.
The US-based carrier will be using B777-300ER aircraft with a belly capacity of 35 tonnes or 150 cubic metres (CBM). The airline is waiting for approval of the Federal Aviation Administration of the US to carry cargo on seats of passenger flights. After approval, the aircraft will be able to carry an additional 50 CBM.
The first flight landed at Mumbai International Airport on May 1 (UA2830) and will return on May 3.
