October 1, 2020: Toll Group opening of its fourth warehousing facility in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra to support rapidly growing businesses of its retail and healthcare customers across India.

Situated in the outskirts of Mumbai and in the warehousing hub of India –Bhiwandi, the new site offers a holistic mix of warehousing (ambient and temperature control), kitting/packing, and transport solution for our retail and healthcare customers. Toll also manages large retail, e-commerce and industrial operations out of the other three sites in Bhiwandi.

The new site went live in August 2020 for one of our global retail customers, just shy of three months since discussions first commenced.

And just one month later, the operations for another global brand, a producer of healthcare and industrial products, went live at the same site.

The Toll team in India managed to successfully complete both transitions smoothly despite Covid-19 related challenges.

Prasad Nair, global logistics country manager – India, Toll Group, said, “This space was very much needed as our business in India is growing steadily. We’re really excited to improve our offering at this site and it follows the automation improvements we’ve made recently at another site. There are lots of opportunities and the team is all fired up. At the same time, we want to ensure our team is safe – this is why our office workers are still working from home as much as possible, and we ensure our operations teams adhere strictly to the pandemic precautions so as to reduce the risk of infection as much as possible.”
