Budget carrier SpiceJetBSE 2.78 percent has said it will enhance air connectivity to Thai capital Bangkok with a new direct flight from Chennai next month. The airline already operates a daily non-stop service to Bangkok from Kolkata, which it had started last year. Also, this is the third international flight announced by the Gurgaon-based no frills airline in the last one month. "It gives us immense pleasure to announce our second international flight to Bangkok. Our first Bangkok flight started from Kolkata last year and had an excellent market response," SpiceJet's senior VP and Head of sales and distribution Shilpa Bhatia said. "We strongly believe that there is tremendous potential in the southern markets too and this flight will help us to connect passengers from rest of India to Bangkok via Chennai," she added.
