Ashok Leyland secures 715-vehicle order from VRL Logistics
Deliveries are underway, with 300 vehicles already supplied and the rest due this year, including haulage trucks and staff buses.

Ashok Leyland has secured an order for 715 vehicles from VRL Logistics, strengthening its long-standing partnership with the logistics company. The order includes AVTR 3120 haulage trucks, BOSS 1615 trucks and Oyster staff buses. Deliveries are underway, with 300 trucks already delivered and the remaining 415 scheduled for execution during the current year.
The order marks a significant step in deepening the relationship between the two companies and further reinforces Ashok Leyland’s role as a mobility partner for VRL Logistics.
VRL Logistics Managing Director Anand Sankeshwar said the company has confidence in the quality, reliability and performance of Ashok Leyland trucks, supported by after-sales service and an expanding network. He said the new order represents a strategic move to improve logistics efficiency and reflects both companies’ focus on innovation and long-term transport planning.
Ashok Leyland National Sales Head – MHCV Madhavi Deshmukh said the order strengthens a long-standing partnership between the two companies. She said VRL Logistics has worked closely with Ashok Leyland over the years in developing products and features suited to the changing needs of the logistics sector, and added that the order reflects trust in the company’s technology and performance.
The trucks are equipped with advanced technologies and features designed to improve operational performance and reliability. According to the company, these capabilities are expected to help reduce maintenance downtime and unplanned stoppages while improving fleet efficiency, vehicle uptime and operational productivity.
The development reflects a partnership built over decades between Ashok Leyland and VRL Logistics, bringing together Ashok Leyland’s commercial vehicle business and VRL Logistics’ surface transportation operations in India.
