Allcargo Logistics is scaling its blue-collar workforce by 20% across its Express Distribution and Consultative Logistics businesses to meet the expected rise in retail demand during India’s festive season.

The increased deployment will take the total workforce across the two businesses to approximately 9,000 during the peak season. The company said the additional workforce will strengthen operational capacity across its network and help maintain service levels during the period of higher demand.

Allcargo Logistics is supporting retailers through integrated logistics solutions covering warehousing, transportation, express distribution, store replenishment, e-commerce fulfilment and reverse logistics. Its Domestic Supply Chain capabilities are being used to support inventory movement, replenishment cycles and last-mile connectivity across India.

The company is also using technology-led operations to help retailers manage festive demand. These include Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, AI-enabled analytics, real-time shipment visibility and digital control tower capabilities.

Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO, Allcargo Logistics, said technology is becoming central to building supply chains that can respond with speed, flexibility and precision during the festive season.

He said Allcargo’s integrated logistics capabilities, supported by technology-led visibility and execution, help businesses scale operations, strengthen supply chain resilience and maintain consistent service during periods of peak demand.

As part of its peak-season workforce strategy, Allcargo Logistics has also introduced a nine-week peak-season incentive programme across all operating units. The programme includes weekly performance celebrations, festive initiatives and special incentives aimed at employee engagement, retention and performance.

The company said India’s Tier II and Tier III markets are also becoming increasingly important for retailers, supported by rising disposable incomes, improving infrastructure and greater digital adoption. The expansion of organised retail and omnichannel commerce in these markets is increasing the need for dependable logistics networks beyond metropolitan areas.

Allcargo Logistics said its scalable workforce, network and integrated supply chain capabilities are helping retailers manage festive demand while maintaining service efficiency and market responsiveness.
