FuelBuddy, India’s leading mobile fuel distribution platform, has officially launched operations in Zimbabwe and Zambia, marking a major step in its global expansion strategy. The move reflects the company’s commitment to transforming fuel delivery across emerging markets, after its successful operations in India, the UAE and Mozambique.

The expansion comes at a time when Africa’s energy demand is projected to rise by 30% by 2040, compared to a 10% increase globally. By entering two of Southern Africa’s most dynamic economies, FuelBuddy aims to strengthen its footprint in both fossil fuels and alternative energy solutions across the continent.

Adnan Kidwai, CEO, International at FuelBuddy, said the launch in Zimbabwe and Zambia would empower industries and communities with doorstep fuel delivery that is reliable, safe and efficient. “Access to reliable energy is the backbone of economic growth. Our mission is to deliver fuel safely, transparently and efficiently right to the customer’s doorstep. By entering these new markets, we are not just expanding our geographical footprint but also we are helping businesses reduce operational challenges, improve productivity and focus on what they do best,” he said.

FuelBuddy’s fully digital platform offers a complete fuel ordering and delivery experience with quality, safety and transparency at its core. With over 500 million litres delivered globally, the company is equipped to support critical industries such as mining, agriculture, logistics and construction in Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Both countries are experiencing rising demand for dependable fuel solutions due to their growing industrial and commercial sectors. FuelBuddy’s entry is expected to help reduce downtime, improve cost efficiency and support long-term sustainable growth. The company also intends to build local partnerships, create jobs and contribute to energy resilience in these markets.

Looking ahead, FuelBuddy plans to expand its global offering further by entering retail operations, including retail pumps, across all geographies where it operates.
