Schenker India, part of DB Schenker, the transport and logistics division of Deutsche Bahn AG, has appointed Suresh Kumar as Director – Region West India and Gagandeep Singh as Deputy General Manager – Customs and Trade Compliance with effect from November, 2014. Kumar will be responsible for

further development and growth of the DB Schenker organization in India’s western region which includes important industrial states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Singh will be responsible for leading the customs and trade compliance functions for the organisation.

With an overall experience of more than two decades, and having worked with leading service providers in the industry in Asia, Kumar has been with DB Schenker since 2010 and was based in the Asia Pacific Regional Head Office in Singapore, and most recently in the Philippines. Before taking up his current role in India, he held the position of Director - Contract Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions in Schenker Philippines. Singh has worked with DB Schenker for more than seven years. As his second stint with Schenker India in the current role he will report to Shubhendu Das, the Chief Operating Officer.
