The Brihanmumbai Custom House Agents Association (BCHAA) held its thirtieth Annual General Body Meeting on September 4, 2015 at the Presidential Ball room, Hotel Vivanta by Taj President, Mumbai. Addressing the Annual General Meeting, AshishPednekar, BCHAA President welcomed the members. Pednekar placed emphasis upon the challenging roadmap ahead for the BCHAA fraternity with the issues faced by terminals. Shipping lines, Container freight stations (CFSs), Service Tax, etc. He also highlighted the current financial year as being a successful one that was further accentuated with the FFFAI convention being a success with the presence of key delegates. The president also highlighted the success in increasing the outreach of members with regular open house meetings and interactions with senior officals of customs. Some of the measures that helped members were also highlighted. These included: • E-delivery order • Common bond • Form E-13 • Offloading of containers in empty yard during week ends on a post payment basis • E invoicing & billing by CFSs. The Annual function was attended by all top dignitaries of Shipping Port Officials, CFSs, Customs Officials and other members of the trade.
