Emirates SkyCargo adds weekly freighter services to three Indian cities
The carrier has increased its total weekly freighter flights in India to seven, while carrying more than 153,000 tonnes of exports in FY 2025/26.
Emirates SkyCargo has introduced new weekly freighter services to Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, taking its total number of weekly freighter flights in India to seven.
The new services add to the capacity offered through Emirates’ 167 weekly passenger flights and provide direct connections to global trade routes.
During FY 2025/26, Emirates SkyCargo transported more than 153,000 tonnes of exports from India. The cargo included pharmaceuticals, perishables, high-tech electronics, engineering and automotive components, and fashion goods.
The carrier transports more than 650 tonnes of pharmaceuticals and over 600 tonnes of fresh food and other perishables from India every week through Dubai. Between April and June 2026, it transported close to 2,900 tonnes of Indian mangoes to global customers.
Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo, said India is a strategic market for the carrier and that Emirates SkyCargo is supporting Indian exporters by providing access to international markets and global supply chains.
The carrier also transported more than 28,000 tonnes of exports from India to the UAE in FY 2025/26, an increase of 24% from the previous year.
In addition to its airport gateways, Emirates SkyCargo provides road feeder services to connect locations across Indian states. More than 4,500 tonnes of import and export cargo were transported through its trucking network over the last 12 months.
