APM Terminals Inland Services, South Asia Ajit Venkataraman as managing director of APM Terminals India Pvt. Ltd. With more than two decades of leadership experience in senior roles, Venkataraman has overseen business development activities in India, the US and ASEAN markets, most recently as vice president of Operational Strategy for Tata Motors. Venkataraman will be responsible for continuing to expand APM Terminals India’s cargo inland services operations, which currently represent a business presence at seven locations, including Chennai, Cochin, Dadri, Nhava Sheva, Panvel, Pipavav and Tuticorin. On Venkataraman’s appointment, “Inland Services in South Asia is an important component of APM Terminals’ international growth strategy. We are delighted to have Ajit on board to oversee a new phase of development for the company’s expansion and growth plans in the region”, said RizwanSoomar, Head of APM Terminals, India. Venkataraman earned a B.Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and also holds an MS (Mechanical Engineering) from Michigan State University, and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Michigan.
