Admissions open for India’s first ever BMS in Aviation Services & Air Cargo at RGNAU

Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) in Amethi , the only aviation university in India, invited admission for country’s first ever Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) in Aviation Services and Air Cargo course that starts from September 2020.

July 8, 2020: Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) in Amethi , the only aviation university in India, invited admission for country’s first-ever Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) in Aviation Services and Air Cargo course that starts from September 2020.

The last date of online application for the 2-year study and 1-year apprenticeship course with 96 seats is 29 July 2020 and the all India entrance exam is on 16 August. The course made in collaboration with Logistics Sector Skill Council takes the students through fundamentals of logistics, airport operations, regulations, cargo operations, cargo handling procedures, quality management, ULD operations and business operations.

Captain Ramanujan TS, chief executive officer, Logistics Sector Skill Council, said, “The BMS aviation services program has a construct of two-year theory study and one-year apprenticeship in the company. The responsibility of the Logistics Sector Skill Council is to create a complete curriculum, which is all industry-validated, create content for all subjects with industry experts, provide faculty and also to set the examination paper & assessment. We also facilitate the apprenticeship and placement for all the students."

Course potential
"Once passed out the students could be working with multiple stakeholders in aviation services and air cargo including 1. With shipper industries like the perishable, pharmaceuticals and couriers 2. With logistics intermediates like freight forwarders and custom brokers 3. With airports facilitators like airfreight stations, air cargo terminals and with the entire air cargo supply chain," he added.
