ABB Turbocharging's Tekomar XPERT to help efficiency of engines for fleet

June 13, 2019: ABB Turbocharging has launched Tekomar XPERT, a web solution designed to guide operators in running their engines at optimum levels of efficiency without compromising on engine reliability. The subscription-based smart web solution, available through ABB Ability™, is a unified, cross-industry digital offering.

Tekomar XPERT can be used with any marine main and auxiliary engine, irrespective of manufacturer, type, age or size. There is no hardware to install and the application can be dropped into the shipping company’s normal IT system, accessible via PCs, tablets and mobiles. More than 1,400 vessels globally have been equipped with Tekomar XPERT so far.

Tekomar XPERT can quantify deviations in engine performance, offer simple guidance on running engines at optimum levels of efficiency and recommend engines at optimum levels of efficiency.
