FFFAI to conduct INSTC International Conference at MNI 2017

Jun 03, 2017: The Federation of Freight Forwarders' Associations in India (FFFAI), supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (India), is conducting the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) International Conference on September 16 at Maritime Nation India 2017.

The conference will discuss developments and stakeholder feedback in moving cargo through the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC), with speakers and delegates representing the maritime and logistics leaders from Iran, India, Russia, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries.

The INSTC International Conference -2016 was also held alongside Maritime Nation India 2016 and deliberated on the advantages related to time and cost savings for exports and imports.

The maiden edition of Maritime Nation India in 2016 garnered participation of 2000 industry professionals and 40 exhibitors from 10 countries, the 2017 edition expects over 100 exhibitors and 5000 participants from over 20 countries.

The INSTC international conference would include speakers and delegates from the maritime and logistics sector and government officials from India, Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan and other CIS countries. The participants would gain insights on the developments and feedback on trade through INSTC, and its challenges and opportunities. The conference brings networking opportunities to take advantage of this emerging trade lane.

Maritime Nation India 2017 has received letters of endorsement from Minister of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari, Minster of Railways Suresh Prabhu, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, and support from several industry associations including the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC); Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA); Freight Forwarders Association in India” (FFFAI); Brihanmumbai Custom House Agents' Association (BCHAA); Association of Multimodal Transport of India (AMTOI); Shipbuilders & Ship Repairers Association (SSA)—UK, etc.
