Blue Dart Aviation becomes 'Wholly Owned Subsidiary’ of Blue Dart Express

Dec 02, 2016: In a written letter to BSE India, Blue Dart Express Ltd has informed that, Blue Dart Aviation Ltd. has become 'Wholly Owned Subsidiary’ of the Company with effect from November 24, 2016.

With reference to the earlier letter dated April 15, 2016 intimating that the Board of Directors accorded its approval to enhance Company's stake into Blue Dart Aviation Limited (Subsidiary Company) from present 74 per cent to 100 per cent, the Company has since acquired balance 26 per cent of equity shares of Blue Dart Aviation Ltd. on November 24, 2016.

Blue Dart is one of the leaders in domestic air express market specialising in time-definite scheduled freight services for overnight next day delivery of Express and Cargo Loads. Blue Dart operates the aircraft at night ex-Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi connecting enroute Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi and Kolkata.
