AAI declares interim dividend of Rs 560 cr for 2016-17

Feb 24, 2017: Airports Authority of India (AAI) has declared an Interim Dividend of Rs 560 crore for the year 2016-17. AAI has earned a revenue of Rs 10,824 crore (previous year Rs 9,285 crore), Profit Before Tax of Rs 3,697 crore (previous year Rs 2,791 crore) and the Profit After Tax of Rs 2,537 crore (previous year Rs 1,959 crore) for the year 2015-16.

AAI has spent Rs 4,315 crore during the last three years (2013-14 to 2015-16) on modernisation of airport terminals, passenger facilities, air traffic and navigational aids at its airports and has planned to spend this year Rs 1,974 crore.

AAI has paid Rs 1,106 crore as Dividend in the last three years (2013-14 – 2015-16) and has also contributed to the Central Exchequer Rs.6253 Crores in different forms during the same period, apart from paying Dividend.

An Interim Dividend amounting to Rs 560 crore was presented by Dr Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman, AAI to the Union Minister of Civil Aviation, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha in the presence of the Secretary, MoCA, Board Members of AAI and Senior officers from the Ministry.
