AAI registers profit of Rs 3,115 crore in FY 2017

Jun 08, 2017: Airports Authority of India (AAI) achieved a record of Rs 4,557 crore of profit before taxes (previous year Rs 3,697 crore) and profit after tax of Rs 3,115 crore (previous year Rs 2,537 crores) in FY 2017.
AAI recorded a total income of Rs 12,542 crore (previous year Rs 10,824 crore), and operational income of Rs 8,024 crore (previous year Rs 6,876 crore) in FY 2017, stated a release.
AAI had declared a dividend of Rs 934 crore payable to Government of India. An interim dividend of Rs 560 crore was paid in February 2017.
The net worth of the organisation as on March 31, 2017 is Rs 15,029 crore (previous year Rs 13,038 crore) and capital employed as on March 31, 2017 is Rs 11,282 crore (previous year Rs 10,540 crore).
The annual financial statement was approved by the AAI Board on June 6.
AAI manages 125 airports, which include 18 international airports, 7 customs airports, 78 domestic airports and 26 civil enclaves at defense airfields.
