AISATS to develop greenfield logistics park at Bengaluru Airport

Bangalore International Airport selected Air India SATS Airport Services to design, build, finance, operate & maintain a greenfield logistics park at the airport for a period of 15 years.

The park on 8.2 acres will comprise a general warehouse, bonded warehouse, consolidation centre, cold-storage facility.

AISATS will also provide value-added services including manpower and equipment rentals for loading/offloading, labelling, packaging, bulk-breaking.

Sanjay Gupta, AISATS: “AISATS is developing a logistics park at BLR Airport to support the exporters, importers and freight forwarders by creating an efficient warehousing centre with value-added services for the air cargo community.”

Satyaki Raghunath, BIAL: "With the help of a dedicated logistics park located at the Airport, freight forwarders will be able to consolidate cargo for export and import across multiple regions. This would also facilitate cargo movements from the southern catchment regions."
