Emirates SkyCargo gets new cargo manager for North India

Jun 14, 2017: Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has appointed Abdulla Alkhallafi as cargo manager, North India.

Alkhallafi has been with SkyCargo since 2014. He was earlier stationed in Singapore, one of the busiest markets in Asia. Alkhallafi, who will now be based in New Delhi, will be looking after the North India markets covering Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Emirates SkyCargo is a major facilitator of trade between India and the rest of the world. The air cargo carrier offers a capacity of over 15,500 tonnes a month. Emirates SkyCargo helps export 5,000 to 6,000 tonnes of perishables out of India every month to major international markets, supporting Indian exporters.

The carrier in a release said that in the North Indian market, Emirates SkyCargo uplifted close to 32,000 tonnes of cargo during the financial year 2016-17, a growth of more than 8 percent compared to the previous year.
