Apollo LogiSolutions signs MoU with Singamas for cold chain logistics

Mar 17, 2017: Apollo LogiSolutions (ALS) and Singamas, a subsidiary of Pacific International Lines (Pte) (PIL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly pursue cold chain logistics in India through a Joint Venture Company (JVCo). This MoU aims to provide cold chain logistics solutions, temperature controlled space/warehouses and temperature controlled transportation and distribution services.

Last year, ALS had signed two MoUs with PIL Group of companies. The first MoUs between ALS and PIL which facilitates mutual cooperation in container freight stations (CFS) and allied services. While the second MoU between ALS and Singamas was signed to jointly pursue transportation of specialised liquids in India. This third MoU for cold chain logistics further underlines the long-term relationship both groups enjoy together, stated a company release.

Elaborating upon the partnership with PIL and Singamas, Raaja Kanwar, Managing Director, ALS, said, “ALS is one of the few organised logistics players in India which assures quality and service delivery to its partners. Our strengths are our recognisable brand name associated with a vast footprint world over. Joining hands with PIL & Singamas will ensure that we bring a value proposition to our customers like none other.”

On the occasion, Teo Siong Seng, Managing Director, PIL, added, “Tying up with ALS, a comprehensive logistics solutions provider, can enhance our interests in an ever growing market with an untapped potential like India. We share a similar outlook and business ethos with ALS. This partnership will help us to diversify and build on our core business of shipping lines and other allied logistics services.”
